Question:

Fecal Impaction and constipation? Please help.?

I have been constipated for 5 days already, and I have tried to take a lot of fiber and liquids. I have also taken Dulcolax (3 tablets for the past 5 days). This morning (5th day), I was able to pass a small amount of solid stool, (around 3 to 4 inches I assume). I am worried because I have read a few articles on-line with regards to fecal impaction and constipation, on how the two are different, and how fecal impaction is life-threatening. I still feel unsatisfied and my system still feels bloated and full. My belly also seems to be bulging out. How can I know if it is already fecal impaction and when should I seek for help? What can I do to relieve this condition?(I already increased my fluid intake for the past days and I am taking in a fiber supplement) Can I still eat despite having this condition? (since hunger still strikes). Thank you for your help!

  2. be careful you could be sensitive to soft drinks especially coca cola. i am sensitive to it

don't poo for over 3 weeks then very hard to very watery rotton smell.

how did i find out it was coke. well i thought i had some medical problem and my dr suggested i get a colonoscopy (tube and camera up ***) my dr suggested i cut certain things out of my diet. tried milk etc lactose intollerant didn't work. then dr suggested coke and she heard of it rotting the gut and getting stuck and stopping bowel's messages to move.

well after 5 years of not having a problem i have gone from drinking 2 litres a day + to less than a can every 2 days. i now dronk cordial, water, juice, and glasses of milk and i go regular and don't have any problems

  3. Yes, you can still eat. Go to your drugstore and buy an e***a kit, give yourself 1 or 2 enemas, if that doesnt clear you out, see your doctor.
