Fed up with council tax?how many of you would be willing to stop payin council tax for a whole month?

im looking to do a petition or a strike on paying it,because im fed up with it personally.

what im asking you is,if we all got together and missed a payment,i think we could make them listen.

after all they cant lock all of us up,especially when the prisons are overflowing with real criminals!

its time we stood up too them,whos with me??????

I dont think this will work somehow. Yes council tax is unnessarily high, but part of it does go to good causes. Everyone who just stops paying it, is a fool. We all have to pay it, so we might as well just get on with it!!

when only around 35 % of the electorate turn up at local elections what do we really expect?

I live in Scotland where it looks like council tax is going to be abolished in favour of a local based income tax

I'm up for that. I'm sick of paying while chavs leech off the state. I'm on maternity leave and I get sod all from the govt. Why should ?I pay rocket high taxes like this when I can't even get the uneven pavement outside the house fixed?!

yeh they may not send us all to prison, but theyll take us to court, where we will have to pay the court costs. and then they will prob fine us.

so no thanks, id rather just keep paying.
