FedEX shipping?

Question

I am receiving a package soon, but am not sure that I will be home to receive it and sign it. So can I leave a note with my signature and tracking number? or do I have to just take the little thing they leave on your door handle in order to pick it up at the local fedex? is there anything else i can do?

Are you sure that a signature is required?  Sender's can mark a package okay to deliver without signature.

If a signature is required and you are not home, you'll get the delivery attempt notice.  If you have the tracking number, you can call them at 1.800.GoFedEx  (1.800.463.3339) and arrange for the next delivery.  You can either leave a signature/instructions on the attempted delivery tag or pick it up yourself.
