FedEx lost my package, What should I do?

They lost a very valuable documents for me. I called them and they tald me that they left my package in my front door. I never actually saw it and never recieved it. Now they tell me that someone should have robbed it but what should I do in this case?I mean the driver left my pakage basically on the street what type of service is that

use the tracking number ....they can find it for you

Go to the Fedex website and put in your tracking number. It should tell you exactly where it's at. It may have just been mailed to the wrong address. If you don't have the number wait a day or two later than the expected arrival date. Then call up Fedex or the  person who mailed it. Don't be to worried, if Fedex lost it they should pay you for their mistake. If it's something you needed now then I'm sorry about that and try to be patient.

first of all unless you signed for it they cant prove were they left it. Someone may have stolen it. But unfortunantly you have ot call the sender and have them send another, and deal with fed ex. The best thing is to always make sure you have to sign for the items sent..

In addition to everything above you also need to contact your local police department and file a report.  Please call them on their non-emergency number, don't use 911 (I work for 911, and it's freaking annoying to have people call 911 for non-emergency stuff).  The police have no way of knowing what crimes are occurring unless people report it to them.

It depends on the level of service the sender paid for. If it was sent Ground or Home Delivery the driver will just leave it. The sender should have requested a signature, which costs more.

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do. If the driver records that it was left at the correct address, you will have a tough time making a claim. You should double check though outside- the package may be behind a bush, at a back door or garage door, between a screen door, deck, back porch, or some other less obvious location.
