My order shipped on the second (7/2) and the last thing I have on the tracking page is July 2 in transit from redding california. Nothing else.

Does that mean it is still on a truck and being driven across country right now even though it is the 4th of July? When will it be scanned again to be updated on the page?

  1. if it went ground, it's either on a truck or train. usually takes 4 business days (don't count the 4th or the weekend)

the next scan will be when it reaches the main distribution center closest to your Fed Ex hub.

  2. Fedex normally doesn't offer pick up or delivery service on holidays.   In transit usually means its on the truck, but as today is July 4th I am guessing the system simply hasn't been updated today. It would likely be scanned again tomorrow.   If you live in a remote area delivery -even on express shipments - can take up to 3 days.  If you call they might be able to give you more detailed information. 1-800-GO-FEDEX

  7. FedEx operates from "hubs". The package was scanned as it was being loaded at the hub in California.

The next time it will be scanned is when it is received at the hub nearest you. From there, it will be sorted by zip code and scanned, and then sorted by route and scanned onto the delivery truck.

The final scan will be when it is delivered to you.

For now, however, the package is on a truck that left Redding on Wednesday. The driver drove up I-15 and stopped in Las Vegas to get some dinner and play the casinos for a couple of hours. From there, he'll drive a while further, and then park in a truck stop overnight.

On Thursday, the driver will continue east, stopping at the hub in Denver, where the rear trailer will be re-sorted, and then will head out again. With a good tail wind, he'll make it to Omaha by last night and will stop at the TA truckstop just over the line in Council Bluffs.

This morning, he took off a little after seven Central time, and just had lunch in Des Moines. He's headed your way.
