the sender REQUIRED a signature. tracking number on fed ex website, says that it was delivered and signed by me. BUT IT WAS NOT! i never got it...Therefore, there is no way for them to have a paper copy of my signature, It is funny because the sender put my full name (first, middle, last) on the shipping dlable, but I ONLY use my first and last name to sign EVERYTHING, ALWAYS, but fedex's website claims that it was signed with my first initial and my middle name....

long story short, it is obvious that the deliverer made some mistake and falsely provided information stating that I signed for the package....

problem is, this all happened 2months ago, i am just following up now because between, my parents house, my apartment, my dorm, summer classes and summer school, i have not even noticed that i did not get the package...

i know what to do, the sender and i are making claims with fed ex....etc...but what may the outcome be...the package was worth $300! Do I get my package or

  1. Just ask fedex for a Proof of Delivery.

It will show who it was delivered to, when it was delivered and who signed for it.  They should be able to provide a copy of the signature as well.

It is possible that the driver left it at the door and took your information of the package to say that it was delivered. The package may have been stolen. You would get the value that the package was insured for.

  2. Small Claims Court?   It would appear that you definitely have a case and can prove it simply with your signature.  I'll bet that if you threatened a suit in Small Claims Court, Federal Express would come-around.  Come on now, Federal Express - you make about a gazillion dollars a year and this package is only worth $300.  Pony-up.
