We haven't paid any of our taxes yet because we haven't had the money. How can I find out if the IRS kept our stimulus check to pay all of these taxes?

IRS will offset your stimulus payment to any balance due you have.

I owed for my Federal taxes about $500 taxes. I received a letter stating that they were taking the Federal taxes out of my stimulus check. They ended up sending me a check for the difference in what I owed. You can always check irs.gov. to find out if you are receiving the full amount.

If you filed a 2007 tax return without paying the amount due you can be assured that the IRS will keep the stimulus check.  They normally send what is typically called an offset notice that tells you how much they kept and for what.
