Federal Work Study?

My girlfriend was awarded 2000 a year in work study, and we dont know how it works, does all the money she earns go to her tuition, and she gets none of it, or does she only get a portion for herself, how does it work?

At my college you work, not more than 20 hours a week, until you have earned the award amount. You will receive your pay in check form. Just like a job. You need to go online (your college's website) and check the work study jobs out and apply for the one you want.
