Federalism and why its good for the US.... ?

What are 5 examples this is good for the United States?

1. It keeps government close to the people.

2. Avoids a system that resembles the monarchy that existed in England.

3. Makes people and communities less dependent upon one core source of power.

4. Respects any geographical differences between states. (i.e. speed limits, gun control.)

5. It makes running a nation as large as the United States more flexible. Basically, if we had strict central laws, states would be breaking away from the country left and right. This way, however, all opinions are considered reaonable and as a result we get along better.
