Any Federalist Society members out there? I am very interested. Is it worth the fee? Reputable famous members? I believe in strict reading of the constitution along with state's rights. Any insights and/or comments?

  1. I don't believe in a strict reading of the constitution.  Those who do are usually conservative wealthy or wannabe wealthy people who are out to s***w the poor.

(Many of the framers of our constitution were frightened having the poor as part of our electorate and required our first voters to possess a certain amount of property before they could participate in our elections.)

Really, our society has changed a lot in the more than 200 years of our existence under our current constitution.  It has nothing to say at all about regulating all sorts of social developments--especially ones that have emerged with the development of science and technology in the twentieth century.  The people who drafted our current constitution after all, could not have anticipated these historical developments.

Thomas Jefferson himself recognized this possibility and recommended  that the constitution should be revised regularly.  Historical developments in this country have proved him right.
