Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, How Many Slams Upon Retirement?

Easy, how many Slams will Novak, Roger and Nadal win each when they retire?

Federer most likely will retire first, but he intends to play till 2012 and Novak or Nadal could suffer severe injury, but I doubt it.

I had picked Roger to win 20 a year ago, but I'm having my doubts, I think it's closer to 18.

He'll come back and win 2 more Wimbledons but he'll deffinetly be better at the Aussie and U.S. Open since most aging greats concentrate on those surfaces, I say he wins 2 more on each surface, possibly 3 at the U.S. Open giving him 19.

Novak is the successor as the great overall player so he'll be a challenge at the Aussie and U.S. Opens, he may even be the man to defeat Nadal on clay, and who knows what happens at Wimbledon, I give him 3 Aussie, 2 U.S., 1 French and 1 Wimbledon.

Nadal will win one more Wimbledon and 3 more French giving him 9, but he could win an Aussie giving him 10 total.

Your thoughts?

  1. federer 14 matchin sampras no french

rafa at least 12 8 frenchs 2 wimbledon and 1 aussie and us open

    djokovic 8 3 us open 1 french 1 wimbledon 3 aussie opens

  2. Too early to predict. I am sure Roger will break Pete's record. Rafa if healthy will win a lot of Slams. At 22 he already has 5. And if healthy he will win at Paris as long as he wants to.

He could win more Wimbledons and could even win in Australia where he is already a semi finalist.

Novak I am not sure . He should first win his second one before we say he will win 10 etc. We have seen many players like Andy and Hewitt and Safin winning 1 or 2 and then not winning much.

  3. 19!? i think that you like federer so much that ur fooling urself. Realistically i think he'll prob beat sampras' record. about 15 at best. But after the loss 2day im starting to think otherwise. i dont think he's got much left b/c he has played poorly all season and his only titles are from really bad tournaments where all the scrubs play. He definitely wont win the u.s open this year b/c its tough coming back from a loss like he suffered at wimbledon. Plus djokovic is gettin 2 good on hard courts. Nadal is probably burned out for the rest of the season. So to summarize

Federer: 13 (he'll prob get 1 more wimbledon)

Nadal: 10 (2 more french, 1 wimble, 1 u.s, 1 aussie) I think he could win more if injuries dont slow him down

DJokovic 3 (2 hard to tell right now b/c he can still develop his game) 1 U.S 1 more Aussie. I dont see him winning at wimbledon or french.

  4. Federer - 15 at most, but no French

Nadal - 10, including a Aussie, US Open

Djokovic - 7-8, but no French

  5. I think Nadal will probably win at least one US Open and one Aussie.

  6. Not how many slams you can collect, but the complete slam.

In the end, I believe Nadal can do it
