Federer and Nadal... doubles???

Question

Can't remember where I read it, but apparently Nadal asked Federer to team up with him in doubles a while back but Federer declined. I don't know if there is any truth to this story, but...

... does anyone else think this would be amazingly entertaining???

Thgat would be awesome. I can kiinda see why Federer would decline though. He just seems like that kind of person. It seeems like he wants the fame for himself and wouldnt want to share it. And also, i dont think he would make a good doubles partner. I just cant see that happening, but if it ever di, it would be pretty cool

It would be incredible, and last I heard, from my friend at IMG who flies with Federer in his private jet (marquis jet), Federer was considering playing doubles with Nadal some time in 2009.

But that is still just him considering it, nothing set in stone yet.

But yes I would kill to see that.  Unreal.

Sometimes excellent singles players don't always translate into excellent doubles players but these guys would definitely bring a buzz and create excitement, you're right.

umm, i think it was a rumor. im not sure, but dont you have to be from the same country because then who would they represent..you know?
