I highly doubt that very much, i mean c`mon lol you gotta admit Nadal`s path to winning a gold medal is certainly the toughest out the draw. Lemme refresh everyones memory.... Potito Starace, Lleyton Hewitt, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic....!!! Now to Roger Federer`s draw.... Dmitry Tursunov, Tomas Berdych, Karlovic.... how has roger got an easier path? and dont say there both equal down the line in the draw cause there just not !!! Its always typical, when rafa is the new #1 will he get easier draws than roger (being seeded 2nd) i mean everyone use to say federer gets the easiest draws because thats the price he pays for being at top of the game....we shall see.

  1. Im not too sure because Nadal has to play djokovic who has proved to be very good and andy murray who has recently got very good and compared to federers draw it looks as though it is harder. However, the people who are playing federer will definatey be trying their hardest so it could be very intesting to see who actually has the harder challenge..... we will have to wait and see in the olympics.

  2. Nadal definitely has the more difficult draw - a former world no. 1 (Hewitt) and two rising young stars (Djoko and Murray) who play great on hard courts and have both played well against him recently!!

As opposed to Federer who is playing people who *could* beat him (Karlovic just beat him at Cincy and Berdych beat him in the Athens olympics) but who are not as highly ranked among the world's players and Federer should definitely have a good chance playing against them, strategically and psychologically!

  3. well federer is till no. 1 , so its fair he gets easier draw

  4. I agree. I think Tursunov is quite a difficult player...and if he actually makes it through him, then he'd possibly have Berdych. Uh and let's not even talk about Karlovic. I really hope Roger makes it.

  5. OMG that is totally unfair :-O

Rafa's draw is so much harder than Federer's.  Djokovic and Murray are probably the biggest threats to both Rafa and Federer in the Olympics and what do you know - Rafa has to deal with them both !!  Yes, Federer has some "dark horses" but they are still easier to deal with than the world number 3 and 6!

Rafa can do it, though.  I have faith ;-)

    Vamos Rafa!! xx

  6. Hi, adoro rafa.  :)

I think you were too excited when you were constructing your question!  Read it again.  I think you wanted to say "How can you actually believe that Roger has a HARDER draw than Rafa..."  :P

And, you're right, Rafa does have the tougher draw.  :)

  7. o0o0o0o Tursanov Оnaсho! That, when in the slump Roger is in is an awful draw!!!! Karlovic, Ginepri, now Tursanov!!! I fear the worst for Roger now.

My tip Davydenko has drawn my 'bronze medalist' Gulbis-d**n! I'm wrong before the Olympics has even began!!!

I actually disagree with you. I think Roger has the 'dangerous floaters' type of players. I think Starace and Hewitt are not treats. I think Novak will go early and I see Rafa beating Murray if they play.

Personally I don't think any of the top 3 players will win and I don't think Rafa will. I think he will get silver.

    1.Davydenko

    2.Rafa

3.I said Gulbis but now I will go for Tipsarevic or Cilic

lol I can't believe I am going for Davydenko! I just think the stage is perfect for him and I have a really strong feeling he will win it lol He will probably go and lose to Ernest in the first round now!!

Anyway I don't think Rafa has a harder draw at all I think there will be lots of big-name casuities including Djokovic and Federer. Also Ferrer a really nasty draw too.

  8. I think you phrased your question wrong....

Federer does have the easier draw but still some dark horses.

Nadal draw has Murray and Djokovic probaly two of the hungriest young players out there.

  9. I agree that Federer's draw is easier, but that's the point when you're the #1 seed.  Although I agree with you that his draw is easier, it isn't easier by all that much.  Why would you mention Starace??  He sucks and Nadal has never lost to him EVER!!  I agree with the Djokovic and Murray, since they are both playing hot right now, but I don't think that Roger's draw is a walk in then park.  He has Gulbis in his draw who has become a dangerous player as of late, he has Karlovic who he just lost to and Gilles Simon who he just lost to.

So I will agree that his draw is easier, but I do not think that his draw is a joke, and I still do not think that he will reach the finals.

  10. if you look at the names of course rafa has the toughest draw, but federer has in his side of the draw the 2 last guys that beated him, so you can say he has the toughest draw because the way he's playing now, every draw is tough for him and because of the way rafa is playing now every draw is easy for him =)

he may have trouble with djokovic but not with hewitt and i think murray will loose early 'cause now all eyes are on him

and he can't handle the pression

and potito starace you really think he can beat rafa? really???

  11. Rafa has some tough matches coming in his draw. But Federer struggled against Karlovic so that might be an issue for him.

  12. Starace in the first round, Hewitt possible second round, Andy Murray possible in QF and Djokovic possible in Semis! THAT's a tough draw! Tnx by the way for your question. If I didn't see this, I would have not known how Rafa's draw would be.

It really depends though. Top players exited early in Athens four years ago. But I have faith in Nadal right now, with his current form and confidence. I think Djoker won't even get to the Semis. Hewitt too, but its only an opinion. There are a lot of dangerous floaters in both draws. I can say Rafa has a tough draw because of the big names on his side, but Fed's got a doubtful draw coz of floaters.

    But either way, VAMOS RAFA!
