Federer did make a handful of unforced errors, but the main reason is the pace of Blake's shots was often times pushing Federer around the court and behind the baseline, causing forced errors. Federer also lacked the precise timing on his shots that he usually has, but has been missing throughout his slump this year. Also Blake was taking a whack at Federer's second serves, which put him under pressure and ended some of the points quickly in Blake's favor.
