Federer make more errors nowadays

Question

federer rarelly make mistake 2~3 years ago even against nadal. but, now federer makes alot of errors now than ever even though, federer played the best match ever in wimbledon but, I think If It's federer 2 years ago, federer would have easilly beat nadal this year wimbledon what do you think?

You are not the first one to notice this and yes he does make alot more mistakes nowadays.

Federer plays a low percentage game, The reason why he has been successful is he makes a high percentage of low percentage shots-That is what makes him so special and fantastic to watch. This year, he plays the same game but against an ever improving Nadal-Who draws errors out of his opponents so effectively-its not good enough.

Nadal has got under Federers skin, this combined with the shock of losing his number 1 ranking and Wimbledon title over such a short space of time has left Federer playing frantically.

I think at the end of the year he will reflect and regroup and come back next year his old self, though he may have to adapt his game to beat Nadal.

For so long Federer has been able to beat anyone by playing his way-against the ever improving Nadal he can't do that and he needs to think more tactically-something he has only had to do to adapt to an opponents serve.

Federer is undeniably making more errors, especially on basic forehand and backhand shots, it's probably just the result of him insisting on playing without a constant coach. His shots aren't improving, he's not coming up with new ones, and he's much slower now than he used to be, it sucks to see him fall like this.

I know. I think it is because of his viral flu and fever that brought him down! But still he has been #1 for 236 weeks (all time record).

He needs to make some changes to his game, other players have learned it now and know how to beat him. He refuses to make changes and I also think that its also a confidence issue at this point. When you have players who aren't even in the top 10 beating you (most recently in Toronto), it does something to your psyche.

haha i disagree completely. You really find it hard to accept Nadal is better now?! Did u see the way Rafa played at Wimbledon, he was better than Roger.......... the rain delay actually helped Federer a lot in that 3rd set, when Nadal had break point opportunities :( :( :( Did u not notice Rafa was winning his serve comfortably at wimbledon against roger in the final :P ! He has improved soooo much whereas federer kept hanging onto his serve every game by a little bit, Nadal would be deuce, advantage all the time on rogers serve!!!!! Then also Rafa screwed up championship points in the 4th :( :( :( Again Federer was lucky, he did have an amazing passing shot though. Nadal was just very nervous ready to beat the King Of Grass!!! Also did u notice the only way fed could beat nadal at wimby was in the tiebreak, rafa took the first sets 6-4 6-4......ur such a sorry loser.... i bet u had exscuses when rogers loses to people like Simon, Karlovic, Mardy Fish, Stepanek ahahahaha at least Rafa loses to players who are worthy of being #1 like Novak !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rafa #1 :)
