  1. No, of course not. He said before he will continue play tennis as long as he can.

  2. Unless Roger says he is retiring, then he is NOT retiring. Always remember that!!!!

Gosh it's so frustrating how many times I have heard these retirement rumors this past year. It almost seems that there are a whole lot of people out there who are so anxiously awaiting the day when Roger calls it quits.

It's a real shame though, because this guy is the best thing to have ever happen to the sport of tennis in a couple decades, and regardless of how many Grand Slam he wins before he retires, he will always be considered the greatest ever to play the sport.

Therefore it's really sad that so many are so anxious to see him retire quickly, when they don't realize how lucky they are to be alive and be able to witness the greatest ever tennis player actually compete.

I always wish I was alive to see that epic Borg/McEnroe Wimbledon final that everyone always talks about, or be alive to see Arthur Ashe and Rod Laver play. But then I tell myself: "just be grateful that you were lucky enough to be alive to see the Sampras/Agassi era, and now this intense rivalry between Federer and Nadal. LOL

  3. Yes, No question, Federer right now is #1 and probably the BEST TENNIS PLAYER EVER...above Sampras and even above Agassi.  He just hasnt been able to put it out the way he would like.  DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THIS MAN....he is awesome and Federer brings the best out of Nadal, and Nadal brings out the best in Federer.  As far As I know, he is not retiring, but again he could be at his end emotionally, He only knows....He is fantastic.....and I'm a Nadal fan, but would NEVER underestimate Federer, he has it all!!!!

  4. I don't think he'll be retiring just yet.... only if he starts losing in the early rounds of every tournament. When that last guy said that Federer won't retire until he wins 14 grand slams, I think he's wrong (no offense.) Federer really doesn't have what it takes anymore.... losing Wimbledon, his dreams of the French, and the Australian. The US Open belongs either to Nadal or Djokovic now. I think now that Nadal will win this years US Open and completely shatter Federer's dreams. He is still #1, but he's going to lose that ranking very soon. It is a pretty big disappointment to see him losing so much and with only 2 titles!!!

  5. why would fed retire?

he is not that bad... he lose after fighting so hard (wimbledon). it's not a shame when you are losing. it's a shame when you cannot accept you are not "in the top anymore" and runaway from it.

hope he didn't runaway from the competition. i'm looking for more great battle

  6. He will not retire until he's broken Sampras' 14 Grand Slam records.
