Federer successful in retaining Cincinnati Masters Title
Roger Federer has successfully retained another Cincinnati Masters cup for him as he outclassed American veteran Mardy Fish with his jaw-dropping performance. The defending champion has finally found the right path to clutch the winning title.
Federer had to push hard and had to give all his efforts to grab the victory as his American rival gave him the hard time and made him suffer. The 29-years-old Swiss tennis master fought back strong and got himself a strong lead after losing the first set.
It was a serve dominated match as Federer used all of his experience and sheer perfection to outclass his opposition by serving like never before. The 29-years-old was able to secure only one tie break point of the match to secure his lead by 5-4 in the decider set of the match. This is the fourth Cincinnati Masters title for him and sixty-third title of his career, which is no doubt a strong proof of his marvellous international tennis career. It is a special victory for the Swiss tennis veteran because it is the second title that he has won this year after the Australian Open which was held in January this year. Indeed it is a very good sign for his fans and followers because finally he has been able to regain his lost playing form. Federer has been struggling to fight against the fate to clutch the winning chemistry. After the victorious ending the tennis star seemed very happy. Federer said it was a very tough match as the temperature of the court was making him struggle. But he is happy that everything went well according to his plans. Later he said that it was a very good match as he had to give his full to get the victory. While talking about his rival in the match he said Mardy is one of the best around and the way he has performed is fantastic.
Despite of losing the final from the current world number two Roger Federer, the American veteran tennis player Mardy Fish is feeling much confident and relaxed as he has successfully proven his strong entity. Fish displayed his matchless talent and passion in the event. The un-seeded player for the tournament, Fish successfully thrashed the British veteran Andy Murray and the American ace Andy Roddick in the tournament. During his marvellous performance in the match Fish convincingly saved four break points and clutched the first set from the former world number one. The 28-year-old American failed to gain a tie break point in the second set which gave a chance to his veteran opponent to push his lead even further. After his remarkable effort in the Cincinnati Masters the American ace has successfully been able to advance his international tennis ranking to twenty one.
The match against 29-years-old former world number one tennis star Roger Federer has given Fish an ample amount of confidence and determination to appear in the upcoming Grand Slam of US Open. The two hour and forty minute long stamina jolting match was another proof of his physical fitness and strong will power. On the other hand Federer who has been struggling to improve his playing form has successfully made a strong comeback by winning another title for him. He is now the second player in the tennis history who has won the Cincinnati title four times.
Federer is now eyeing the final Grand Slam of this tennis season, which will start from the 30th of this month. No doubt Federer will give his best to grab seventeenth Grand Slam title for him. His huge successful return in the tournament has given him a strong boost in self esteem which will definitely be seen in his upcoming matches.
