It was Roger Federer who organised some of the world’s top players into a “Hit for Haiti” on the Sunday before the Australian Open began, with all funds raised to be used to help earthquake victims in Haiti. But when the competition started, Federer was not in a charitable mood with his first four opponents – and has conceded just one set in the opening four rounds.
