Federico Balzaretti edges closer to joining Paris Saint-Germain – Ligue 1 news
Italian national team left-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Federico-Balzaretti-c13451 is edging closer to securing a move to French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The 29-year-old is currently under contract at Italian Serie A side US Citta di Palermo where he has been playing since 2008. Reports in RMC now suggest that PSG are closing in on the defender and are nearing an agreement with Palermo over the sale of the
player in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Balzaretti’s agent Marcello Bonetto and club president Maurizio Zamparini have already confirmed the Italian’s wish to join the capital club (where his wife works).
However, reports claim that the two sides are still far away from finalising the deals as the two parties are not at the same wavelength so far. But a solution could be found according to RMC. A fee in the region of 5 million Euros is considered to be enough
for PSG in attaining the services of the experienced left-back.
Furthermore, a transfer fee of 5 million Euros is certainly more than enough for Palermo as the player has just over a year left in his contract at the Sicilian club.
Asked by RMC, Bonetto refused to provide more details about the transfer.
“I am not aware of the discussions between the two clubs. He (Balzaretti) is currently looking for an apartment in Paris to settle down with his wife,” said signor Bonetto.
However, the agent also admitted that Zamparini is on the lookout for a new left-back and has asked him to find one before Balzaretti secures a move to PSG.
Les Parisiens have keeping tabs on the 29-year-old left-back for a few months as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 seeks to find a good replacement for Siaka Tiene who has flattered to deceived so far this season. A move in the winter transfer window also appears unlikely as Palermo
are looking to hold on to the former Juventus man’s services for at least until the end of the current campaign.
However, an agreement would certainly be reached amicably as the two clubs have developed a strong relationship with eachother after the transfer of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Salvatore-Sirigu-c32282 to the Ile club in the summer transfer window.
