http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Federico-Macheda-c13475 has come out and made it clear that he would love to play for the Roman club Lazio in Serie A in the near future as he still has great affinity with his childhood club. The young target-man who captured the spotlight
due to his magnificent goal against Aston Villa in the 2008-2009 season for Manchester United has found it increasingly hard since then to live up to the fans expectations.
At Manchester United, Macheda found it hard to make his way to the first team line up as his path was blocked by the arrival of Javier Hernandez and the emergence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787 ranks. In the January transfer
window of 2012, the Italian goal scorer was loaned out to Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 where he has again found it hard to make an impact due to the lack of first team action.
Macheda has been growing increasingly frustrated at the lack of opportunities that he has been getting in English football and thus he might even prefer a move back to his home country in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Italian youngster said, "I'd like to come back to Lazio in the future, I always said it, but I don't know my future yet. I have a contract with Manchester United until 2014, but in June I will end the loan and we will see."
He added, "Last Wednesday the QPR coach said to us that we had a day free on Sunday, without training. So I decided to come to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 [against] Lazio. I visited on a day trip as I left London in the morning and I came
back in the evening. I wanted to see the 'derby' in Curva Nord, to stay with the Lazio fans. It was a strong emotion. I was there with my friends and my cousin.”
