Hi to all,

A friend of mine wishes to take up photography and has developed a website, I would be intereted to hear opinions of his work, be it positive or negative...

He wants to work for himself, do you think it is a good idea..?

Many thanks in anticipation

Pete

  1. i quite like the baby pictures, but the rest just look too "posed".  i know every picture is posed, but I have a photographer here in Brum who manages to make the pictures of weddings etc look natural.  That is what people are looking for - authenticity.  the glamour shots are ok, but none of it really set me on fire.  it just needs a dose of creativity and innovation.  just my opinion, but i hope that helps.

  2. ok - some basics -

the boudair photos are nice - he makes the old bitty look kinda cute and the vogue cover is a nice touch.

BUT - the old models with eth fancy limos look out of place.

and then the children photos in the Gallery seem to create conflict with the Boudair photos.

your friend needs to decide if the focus is boudair photos - which seems to make sense.

wedding photos ( need younger more beautiful models) - or focus on weddings for older couples - leave out the limo.

or children and fmaily photos - no body would bring their kids to a studio with boudair photos.

  3. If you want me to be honest, I wouldn't hire him for my wedding.  The photo's look too cheesy and tacky, sorry but just being honest. :o)

  4. I think they are extremely tacky. And he should invest in some new backdrops. Also his site looks... well, amateurish.
