Question

I didn't get any answers last time I asked.Has anyone ever taken the DogAge test at http://www.dogage.com/? If so, could you give me your feedback? If not, could you take it and give me your feedback? it takes about 5 mins.

I did that test and it said that my 4 month old puppy was 2.5 in human years...doesn't seem accurate because my pup acts like a child going through puberty!!

I took the test for my 6 year old Kelpie, Comet.  He came up at 28.? years - 9 years less than a Kelpie his age.

He was marked down cos he hasn't had Rabies vaccinations (no Rabies here in Australia) or Lyme Disease (again not an issue in Australia).  I was asked which country I was in yet the quiz didn't allow for that.

Also some of the answers were ambiguous - e.g. behaviour problems - he does jump on people but not furniture; he does chase cars, but inside his yard.

Anyway, it was too long and of no real benefit for me.

It seemed very thorough ( AND LONG!! ).  They included everything from spay, to vaccinations, to eating habits, to behaviors to add or reduce the age!

Virgo's DogAge is 15.2!

That's 3.8 years younger than the average DogAge for Virgo's breed.

Virgo is actually almost 3 years old in human years.

That's 4.1 years younger than the average DogAge for Bryce's breed.

Bryce is actually 1.5 years old in human years.

That's 2.7 years younger than the average DogAge for Bubba Rai's breed.

Not a big deal to me but here's the details for you. I was gonna do it for both but I didn't want to sit through that again

It's amusing but I wouldn't rely on it... Plus they took off points since I don't feed Science Diet or Iams or Purina.

Judge's DogAge is  25.8!

That's 8.2 years younger than the average DogAge for Judge's breed.

Ok I took it for you....

My dog is an English Mastiff

She is 5 years old in human years and 35.7 in dog years according to the site.

I don't think it is a wonderful site but does give good advice.  There are many things that could be argued against but it did have some good pointers.  I wouldn't be overly concerned unless your dog is having health issues.

I have actually and I think it is great!!  It gives me feedback on what I may be doing wrong with my dog.  I can't remember her age.  I think she was 5.something younger than her average DogAge breed.
