Question:

Feeder fish with CWD?

I'd like to feed my water dragon fish- in his water bowl of course, mainly because of the high Ca:P ratio. (Live fish are much easier on my mind then live pinkies.) Does anyone have any recommendations for what type of fish to feed? Or would plain ol' feeder goldfish do it?

  1. Stay away from goldfish! They are high in fat and contain a chemical called copper sulfate which builds up in the reptile's kidneys and liver, eventually reaching toxic levels and possibly killing it. And I've heard they can contain parasites. Any other kind of fish are fine.

  2. stay away from gold fish they can contaminate and sicken you fish. try rosy reds and crayfish.
