I just bought 25 feeder guppy's for only 4$.. since i;ve never bred fancy guppies.. im thinking to try and breed feeder guppy's first, then when i have more experience, ill bred fancy guppy''s so i don't kill any of them. Is this a good desicion?

  1. Any livebearer is easy to breed as they are less particular about water quality when they mate.  I used to breed fancy guppies for use as feeders as it allowed me to selectively develop their colors and fin size.  I found them no more difficult or less prolific than feeder guppies.  It's still not a bad idea and I appreciate your caution.
