I want to feed eggs but cooked because raw eggs can contain salmonella. My dog is a german shepard. Is it still good for the coat cooked? And is carrots good for dogs.

  1. Yes, eggs are healthy for a dog cooked.

In fact I think it is better cooked.

(scrambled eggs help settle a dogs upset stomach)

I give my overweight dog carrots for treats, because my vet (a very good one) said to do so, in order for him to lose weight.

  2. I feed my dog eggs but he gets them raw in a shell once a week. Just don't give it too often. Dogs have a shorter digestive system which doesn't give bacteria a chance to hang out in there. I've never heard of a dog getting sick from raw eggs.  Our immune system is so pathetic, and we compare dogs to humans! Dogs aren't humans.

  3. Yep,cooked eggs are fine, and dogs can actually digest cooked carrots better than they can raw ones. My dogs love scrambled eggs and steamed carrots ( but not together!)

  4. She can have 3 raw eggs a week (only one a day) If possible brake the shell up s well for her to eat because it is very good for your dog too.

Your dog can have all fruit and veg apart from grape seeds and onions.

So if your mum cooks in the kitchen and wants to throw away potato peelings, broccoli and such give it to your dog instead.

  5. yes they are still good for the skin and coat, as for carrots raw is the best and it is good for the eyes

  6. Cooked eggs or raw egg yolks are fine,no raw egg whites.Raw carrots are fine

  7. Well, you will get mixed opinions on this, but if you dog is healthy you shouldn't have to worry about raw eggs.  This comes from the raw diet book I got by dr. pitcairn.  However, he also mentions that cooking the eggs is also fine so if you want to cook them go ahead.

As for carrots, my dog will only eat them if I shred them and mix them in with her food... and since they are part of the raw diet in the book, I dont see a problem with it... nor have I had any problems with her diet so far, her health actually got much better after switching from dry food.

  8. Eggs raw are fine to give to your dog.

I had a staffy that would go break the egg herself.

Dont over do the egg feeding and you will be fine.  Will do wonders for her coat.
