  1. Yes it is great to feed them fresh fruits and vegetables.

Wash them very well to remove pesticides or peel them to be safe.

No pits or seeds of any kind of fruits, no avocados.

  2. yes it is good for them to eat fruites and vegatables with what you usually give them

  3. Yes, all fruits and vegetables are OK. Just be sure that they are clean and that you remove the dish after a couple of hours.

My budgie used to love frozen mixed vegetables, especially corn. I would lightly steam the veggies, chop them up fine until they were the same consistency as bird seed, and put them in a separate food dish.

Birds also seem to enjoy parsley sprigs, lettuce or other dark green leafy vegetables clipped to the bars of their cage.

Don't be discouraged if your birds refuse to eat the fruits and veggies you offer. Birds are naturally suspicious of unfamiliar-looking foods. It may take weeks or months before they will accept something new.

  4. The only fruit you're not supposed to give them would be avocados.

My birds (3 caiques) get apples every single day. They will literally follow me into the kitchen and stare at me while I slice the apples. They're spoiled brats. They also get a bowl of mixed vegetables (I buy a big ol' bag of frozen mixed vegetables at Walmart and zap the frost off of a cup at a time in the microwave).

They also LOVE walnuts, and when in season, pomegranate

I do NOT peel them. Peels are fine, as long as you wash the apple before you cut it..
