Okay, I have 1 month old leopard frogs and I was wondering how often I should be feeding them? And how much each feeding? Right now I am feeding them 1-2 small crickets every other day and they look quite chubby, am I feeding them to much? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  1. I think that is plenty!

  2. No you are not feeding them too much. Frogs have voracious appetites and eat as they please. In the wild leos will consume many bugs everyday.  They will eat till they are satisfied. Throw 10 in and see what happens and how many get eaten by each frog, then give them that amount every day. Be sure to give them variety though to avoid metabilic problems. Feed them some phoenix worms, wax worms, butter worms, small earth worms, small grass hoppers and some small meal worms every now and them. Meal worms and phoenix worms are good cause they last a long time. Be sure to dust the crickets with a calcium vit D suppliment to make up for the lack of uv rays they receiv ein captivity.  Diurnal frogs such as bullfrogs and leopard frogs are basking frogs and benefit from UVA/UVB rays. Dont put them outside in a tank though, you will cook them. If you want to let them bask outside, they be sure to put them in a full screen enclosure or nesh enclosure in part shade. Hope this helps a bit.
