  1. Most turtles are too traumatized by their new home to be interested in eating. If it goes for more than a week without eating, drop in a live earthworm. Unless the worm is so big that it scares your YBS further, there will be worm inside your turtle in a few minutes at most.

  2. Visit this site for more information- http://www.redearslider.com . They are basically the same so you can give your yellow bellied the same kind of feeding as the red slider.

    Or visit the website http://www.austinsturtlepage.com

And the forum at http://www.redearslider.com/forum where you can ask questions about turtles insead of here because the people there are turtle experts and will be able to help you better with your turtle.

And if you just got your turtle, it willl take a while for the turtle to warm up to the new place and about a couple of days to start eating. Make sure to look at the feeding sheets on the RES website so you will feed your turtle correctly.

  3. they might not eat bc there scard get some hydro life and put him in a bowl and put a few squirts not drops squirts in the bowl with lil water in there and put a pellet in there too and h**l go after it like crazy this is how i got my baby to eat
