Question:

Feeding my terrapin?

i was wondering what sort of food i should feed my terrapin. I got him given to me yesterday beacuse the owner got bord of him. BAD EH.....He is still a baby, about 2 inches long.

Also....would samon be a good food?

any help would be great

  1. Any kind of semi aquatic turtle would NOT have salmon included in it's natural diet. Baby turtles need tiny pellets that you can buy at the pet store. just make sure they are catered toward "hatchlings" so that the pellets are small enough for it to eat. They also love protein/meat when they are very young, so raw turkey (unflavored/deli slices) would be a good treat every now and then.

    I really, really recommend you do some research about how to take care of turtles. They demand so much more than people realize when they take them in as pets. It needs natural sunlight and specific temperatured water or it won't have an apetite.

    PLEASE Just google "care for turtles" and learn about how to keep your little guy healthy!


  2. The best food is live: earthworms, fishes (not goldfish), and soft-bodied insects. When you can't get live food, cut strips of liver and dust them with bonemeal.
