  1. Maybe he has reflux?  Mention it to his Doctor.

  2. Every baby is an individual when it comes to eating habits and sleeping habits.

From a lot of practice with my kids, it may be that your little man is having a bit of gassy buildup that isn't fully burped out as he eats. Some babies are a bit more difficult when it comes to burping than others.

You might consider checking with your pediatrician to see if your little man needs some sort of medicine drops that will help to keep the gas level down and help him expel it as you burp him.

Learning to be a new parent is a hard job, give yourself time and a bit of credit for learning how to do the job! Hang in there!

Ask your doctor, a close friend or your own parents for help as you sort out the process.

  3. Do you give him a good burp?  Maybe he's got a bubble that's causing distress.  Also, he might not want an entire 6oz in one feeding.  At this age (and it varies, you'll know your baby best!), I think a baby eats 4-6oz ... maybe 4 is enough?  If he goes a longer stretch he might take more.
