"What you Did"

She's running from a lifetime,

A '67 mustang, that he painted blue,

She knows now, that it was always you,

And she'll run a lifetime just to find,

The story that lives inside her mind,

And she wishes, she could have known the past,

Through different eyes, she grew up so fast,

And she'll always be running through an open door,

She doesn't sleep, she doesn't sleep anymore,

She can't sleep until she finds what she's looking for,

She said, Let's laugh, laugh until we cry,

Let's hop in the car, and let's just drive,

Drive on a highway, going god knows where,

and I'll take a picture when we run across there,

I always knew, that it would be you,

Twelve years old, big blue eyes,

I always thought, you were kinda nice,

And here we are, all old and grown,

Making history all on our own,

And she looks at him with a crooked smile,

Driving that one last mile,

She's living the story,

The story that lived inside her mind,

Yesterday trails far behind, and she stops to paint a picture,

A picture of the world,

A moment in the life, of a special ordinary girl.

It could be put to music. Good words for a sort of Rock or Heavy Metal song.Not quite a poem,in my opinion,but a good effort!
