  1. It could be the boots you currently have are too wide for your feet. Problems with boots are usually more down to the width and the shape of the boot rather than the length. It sounds like you may have a narrow foot if so Salomon and Northwave are good brands to try. Also when you have your boots on your toes should brush against the front of the boot and not be pushed up against it, if this is the case your boots are too small length wise.

Often begineer riders get numbness in there toes and feet due to bad posture when learning how to ride, but in your case it sounds like you may have the wrong brand boots for your foot shape. Hope this helps, Good luck.

  2. I used to have that problem and it totally sucked.  I know your pain bro.

Make sure you get boots that are super comfy and then chose bindings that work well with your boots and then chose a board that goes well with your bindings.  Never settle on boots because they go well with a cool board and bindings you want.

You definatly DO NOT want your heel to be moving arround when you're carving.  That will cause your turns to be less precice and is also a perfect recipe for nasty blisters.

Really comfy boots will make all the difference.  Try not to go cheap.  I highly recomend Salomon boots. They are so comfy.  I used to ride in Burton boots and my toe always got numb. As soon as I switched to Salomon boots my toes were fine.  They make really great boots.

Try a bunch of different ones on untill you find the ones that feel perfect. And make sure you get once that fit.  You want them to be comortably snug.  Definatly NOT loose.

    Hope this helps.

  3. As said you boots are to tight, loosen the 1st to clips on your boots, not to lose but lose enough to let the blood get to your toes.

If they are to small then when not in use pad them out with paper or something just to try and stretch them abit.Keep the main buckles that clip up around your ankles nice and tight along with the other one that goes around your calf, heel lift will occur if you have them to lose which is not good.

  4. 9.5. slight heel movement is desireable, numb toes is due to lack of circulation from boots being too tight

  5. All good answers above, but also consider that your toe-strap on that foot may be too tight, or adjusted so that one of the edges on the strap is digging into your foot, causing a pressure point and pain.  you can file the edges of the strap if it is sharp, or adjust the angle that it is mounted at when it comes over the top of your foot.  Lloosen it up a bit first and see what happens.  You dont want your foot floating around in the binding or coming off of your board when you turn.

  6. Your toes will feel the first numb the first few days of riding new boots - Don't go bigger - If the boot fits and there's no heel or toe lift then the boot is fine - it's just one of those niggly things about new boots. Hope this helps.

A couple of wee hints - Cut your toe nails, and or, don't tie the boot extra tight at the bottom of the laces..

  7. well because it feel numb because u have zee biggest feet in za world. bye

  8. I say go up.

You're boots are cutting off the blood to your toes if they are numb...
