since i've always been small, right now i'm about 5'2" maybe 5'3", 105 lbs., i've been wearing almost nothing but high stiletto heels. actually i've been wearing them a lot since i was 16 and since graduating high school working at the mall, and going 2 college, they're basically the only style of shoes i wear and except 4 these thingys on my little toes, i havent had any problems. i just turned 21

the thing is 4 the 1st time b4 my period i had pms, with the bloating and stuff. my feet swelled sooo much that my fave pumps that i've worn a zillion times felt like they were 2 sizes 2 small.

here's a pic after i got home from work and was finally able to get my shoes off

i feel ok now, about 10 days after my period, but my feet still get swollen and i took this pic in the bathroom at a hotel conference where my company was giving a presentation. it was a really beautiful bathroom lol and so i finally got 2 take off my shoes. i'm trying 2 point my toes, but they wont straighten out...

i've been using those gel thingys and they help a bit but my feet hurt sooo bad. i used work at Macy's walking and standing around 4 hours, and go clubbing, dancing, shopping and do everything in my stilettos but now i cant wait 2 take them off under my desk, and i can barely squeeze them back on and walk 2 my car in the parking lot. they get so swollen and i cant straighten my toes. its really wierd and crazy. i had a doctors appointment 4 tomorrow but it got postponed until next wednesday. so i need suggestions, advice or whatever. can anyone help me? :o/

  1. ur feet looked horrible! But anyway you really shouldn't be wearing high heels with swollen feet. I would recommend you get some really nice, comfortable sneakers or some of those shoes by naturals. oh and just because ur short doesn't mean u have 2 wear high heels everyday, i' m 5'0.

  2. ow that looks painful. but take a break from shoes like that until your feet heal. wear comfortable shoes. you might not look taller but i wouldn't sacrifice my feet for height. wear like flip flops and comfy sneakers.

  3. it is because of the shoes you wear.

  4. I dont know the technical name for this, but that is quite common when young people wear heels as much as you do for a long period of time.

My grandma wore ONLY high heels since she was 17 and her feet look like that but way worse. The foot knuckle thing by your big toe has already begun to jut out, and I think this has alot to do with your constant high heels. I know people who also wear heels and dont get this, but hey you never know.

I would suggest to either lower your heels or just reduce wearing them altogether. It is only going to get worse, since heels are not the natural structure of the foot, especially if you wear them that much,

Good luck =) I am 5"2 and I live in flats, so embrace your shortness!

  5. If the swelling is really bothering you, go to the hospital. Swelling prevents healing whatever is wrong, so that's not a good sign.

  6. heres my suggestion stop wearing stelletos!!!!!!! who cares if your short and btw ur not that short

  7. ow that looks like it hurts!!!

  8. hi there..

im very short 5'1 and i only wear heels for occasions.. i dont feel comfo in them so dont bother with them... u should wear really comfo soft padded footwear and also try to get some help from a physiotherapist till ur feet are back to being okay.. and yeah.. no more heels till ur feet get perfectly ok again..
