I get this from time to time but i want to know the real medical or scientific reason for this. Two days ago i ate and i started to get this feeling of a piece of food being stuck in there except it would be more painful if there actually was a piece of food stuck in there, i try to swallow i kind of feel it moving but it goes back to the same spot, it doesn't bother me eating or anything its just really annoying!

  1. I get that feeling when I have tonsil stones. Tonsil stones are pieces of food that get lodged in the crevices of your tonsils...bacteria starts growing on the stuck food & it gets bigger and bigger. I'm usually able to swallow mine eventually. Sometimes I'm able to cough them up over time.

  2. You've probably got a lump growing in the throat, probably just a small infection or perhaps you cut or damaged your throat eating. If it wont go away in a week or so or if you get pain its best to go see your doc. Try gargling salted water or mouth wash a couple of times a day.

  4. my mom had that and she went to the doctor and surprisingly he said it was allergy!

  5. my mom gets the same exact thing. we dont know why it does it either. im gonna keep looking and see if anybody knows so i can share :]

  6. You may be feeling irritation from some post nasal drip that feels like a lump.  Or, sometimes food scratches your throat going down and it feel like it is still there.  If it keeps bothering you, you should see an ear, nose and throat specialist.  Best of luck.
