Feeling silly running; what do to about it?

i always feel silly running. i always think: what are others thinking about me? how can i loose this feeling of insecurity

  1. Yes your probably new to the whole thing, you feel like the black sheep of the hord. But dont worry your going to get used to it, just do your thing, try to improve and talk to everyone frequently!


  2. Try challenging yourself and push your body to its limits when running. Run above your normal pace and keep pressing, take a more difficult route ie: more hills. This in turn will take your mind quickly off your insecurities I assure you. I guarantee you won't care what ANYONE thinks at that point  ;)

    Another good option is find your nearest park that offers trails, not only is it almost always secluded, but it is far more challenging and scenic than running on the road

  3. Look i no exactly what your going through. I'm 16 and started running about 13-14 and i used to be embarrassed running on busy roads/streets etc and tried to stick to desert places where nobody went to. But believe me the more u do it the easier it becomes honestly. I used to think oooo people will think i look stupid being so young and all but now i run anywhere with pride. People actually think good on you trust me!
