Feeling so conflicted!!?

I'm 35 weeks pregnant ..almost 36! This baby is coming within a month and I've never been more excited and impatient in my life..but I've also never been so scared and daunted in my life either. At this point in time it is still hard for me to distinguish this life inside of me to a human being that I'm going to hold..it seems so.. unbelievable.

Is it normal to be feeling so conflicted at this point in time, many parents i have spoken to have said at this stage they were just relieved to hit the home straight..whereas i am Absolutely worried about everything..so darn emotional..poor hubby lol.

  1. Yep, totally normal to feel that way!!  Don't be surprised if you start having dreams around this time about having the baby but not knowing what to do with it...with my first baby I dreamed constantly that we had him at home and my husband and I just stood over him and looked at him not knowing what to do with him.  I would also dream that I would be at the store shopping and suddenly realize I had left him at home alone...stuff like that.  It's all just your mind/emotions coming to grips with the reality that you're becoming a mother!!

  2. My last pregnancy I didn't want to ever end. The first one I couldn't wait to be over. It is so normal to feel like this!

  3. I just had my 3rd baby, and I felt the same way towards the end.  When I was in labor on my way to the hospital, I told my husband that I didn't want to do it, and just wanted to go home and go to bed.  You are totally normal!!!  :)

  4. You sound completely normal to me!  :)  Aren't hormones wonderful?

I felt the exact same way with my first pregnancy, but it went away the moment they put him in my arms.

With my second, it was even worse.  How could I love another baby as much as I love my first?  I found out you can!  :)

And trust me...your worries are only beginning!  ;)

    Good luck!

  5. my guess is-this is your first baby. you feel scared and confused right now. most mothers feel this way the first time around. you are probably wondering if you will know when its hungry, hurting, or just sleepy and irritable. well;, you will learn your baby's cries and can identify which one means what as you go along. it;s only natural to feel conflicted. just remember that we all learn with trial and error. babies dont come with instructions. congrautlations! you are almost there. give it lots of love. good luck.

  6. Totally and completely normal. :P
