Ok, well. Here we go. The past week or so I have been feeling seriously "icky". Nauseous, headaches, very very tired after not really doing much, ill, moody...ect. Everyone keeps asking me if I am pregnant, but I have an IUD. I did "miss" this month, which I am sure has something to do with the IUD that I have had for the past 7 months (first missed month). I am nauseated all day long, doesnt matter what I eat. I havent had a fever, no vomiting or anything like that, just extreame nausea in which I have to lay down and usually end up taking a nap while my husband watches our two year old daughter (after he gets off work...ofcourse). I have absolutely no idea what could be my deal. I've tried pepto and everything and nothing seems to work. I have had this ongoing session of c**p for a week and a half now. I dont know what to do, because getting a doctors appointment where we live at is like pulling teeth, they do not want to see you unless you are dying. Any advice? Oh and I cannot drink anything carbonated due to gastric bypass surgery 4 years ago, so no ginger ale, sprite.. nothing. Any ideas on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

  1. It could be lack of iron or dehydration, I feel that way when I haven't been taking my iron pills or drinking enough water, try drinking more and see if you can get a blood test to check your blood counts, which will tell you if you are lacking in iron.  Also, if pregnancy is possible, then you should just get a pregnancy test from a pharmacy, just to be absolutely sure.

  2. Hi

I had 3 negative pregnancy tests and I was preggers. The doctor eventually took a blood test which is 100% accurate and it confirmed the pregnancy. It would also be worth going back to the clinic and discussing symptoms as the gastric bypass could also be a factor. I would def get this checked.

  3. You wouldn't be the first that got pregnant with an IUD in place. My sister-in-law did.Sorry

  4. Ya see, we think you're preggers. Not that we're qualified doctors or anything but we are top contributors and it's our professional opinion that you are 'with child'.

  5. Well let's be honest,if you don't know how could we know? The only person who's going to put you straight is a doctor.:)
