Question:

Feet sore and burning ?

my feet and legs started getting what I'd call not exactly tingling - maybe more like nerves shooting under the skin in the middle of the night. then my feet feel kind of like I've walked on hot cement.

It doesn't really hurt, but is very annoying and bothersome. and actually scarey.

I do not symptoms of diabetes, but I have not been to a doctor for a couple of years (I am 60) because I have no health insurance and can not find work.

I've been researching this all day and the possibilities are odd. A lot of people with it and no explanation.

Someone said to take B12 - I have some sublingual ones and a couple hours ago took one (they go directly into the blood stream) Within about 5 minutes it literally susided about 75% (and I am a skeptic).

Anyone else have this?

  1. The soreness and burning in your feet could be an indication of neuropathy (damage to the nerves) such as due to Diabetes or B-12 deficiency.

As for the sublingual B-12 I have heard of some that have used it with good success but I would recommend seeing your primary care physician if you have one for further evaluation of the situation.

If you don't have one and you have the kind of insurance that allows you to choose which doctors you want to see as far as specialists, I would recommend a consultation with a Podiatrist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders related to the feet such as issues with neuropathy such as due to things like Diabetes).

If you have other questions for me about what it's like to visit a Podiatrist please feel free to e-mail me off site any time.
