Feet stance in boxing..?

Please describe IN DETAIL how to have your feet in boxing while fighting - im talking about when you just start to train box.

  1. This is referred to as your fighting stance.  Without seeing you it is hard to detail but -unless going southpaw-you should start with your left leg forward and your right leg back.  Feet should be appx shoulder width appart and slightly angled like this (\).  You should be comfortable and able to move in any direction and jab or punch.

    Then you have to practice this stance and moving all the time.  You shadowbox to do this-fight imaginary opponents

If you are right-handed (orthodox), you typically lead with your left foot and your left hand.  This allows you to jab with your left and have the majority of your power punches with your stronger hand- the right hand.  If you are left-handed (southpaw), you typically lead with your right foot and your right hand.  This allows you to jab with your right and have the majority of your power punches with your stronger hand- in this case, the left hand.
