  1. i think a dentist should come and explain it to you cause i dont know if any one does field trips

  2. I would start with your own dentist first....or get out the phone book and start calling them

  3. a dental collage would be the best bet

  4. 1) call your local dentist and see if he will set aside a day for you to bring your class in.

    2) it is field not feild

  5. FIELD DUMASS!

you could always call this number to get me because im a dentist-886-2304 OR 831-1110!  I don't mind driving a couple miles.

  6. Most dentists in my area are good about showing children around their office or having their assistants do it.  With preschool children it is nice to think about community and take trips that are short and sweet.  One of the best field trips my teachers take their children on is a trip to a grocery store.  Kroger will show the children around each area of the store and let them see the coolers, the bakery and the area where meat is packaged and processed.  The end of the trip is generally in the produce department where they get a lunch sack and get to pick out two pieces of fruit (they also get a cookie from the bakery) to take home.  Other special trips are the police department, fire department, post office and possibly places where their parents work.  One of my teachers had a parent who was a hair dresser and had signed permission slips for the children to get their hair trimmed.... the children loved it and the child whose mom owned the store got to show the children around.

  7. how you do that is u call a local dentist and say my class is learining about dentists and we were wondering if there was a time you could set aside for us to come and have a little feild trip? thanks!

  8. Call around and see if any dentist's in your area are agreeable to host a group of kids.  If there is a dental school, or a training program in a vocational school for dental hygenist's in your area,  those places would be your best bet.  They are accustomed to distractions and others observing.

  9. Oh, sweetie, you need to stay in the classroom and learn to spell.  Also, we'd kind of need to know where you are to know what dentists in the area would do such a thing.  Usually, dentists or a hygienist come to a school and give a demonstration rather than trying to cram an entire class of students into a dental office.

A dental "collage?"  That would look nice on a wall, I guess.

  10. Electrolocist, catfood cannery, how 'bout a tour of the local water treatment plant.
