Spanish tennis player Feliciano Lopez recovered from a set down to score an upset over fellow countryman Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in his second round match at the 2011 Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell. The Spanish World Number 42 Feliciano Lopez defeated World Number 26 Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in three sets 6-7(2), 6-3, 6-4, surprising spectators who expected an easy win for Garcia-Lopez. The match lasted just a little over two hours and five minutes.
Despite the fact that Guillermo Garcia-Lopez is the higher ranked player, he seemed to struggle from the first set. The player scored only once ace, while his compatriot Feliciano Lopez managed an impressive seven in the first set alone. Both players saved all of their break points, while Lopez committed two double faults. Feliciano Lopez fought hard against his opponent, forcing the set into a tie-breaking game.
