Alonso secured an incredible third podium finish in the preceding race after taking a start from fourth grid slot. On the other hand, Massa also showed an impressive pace and managed to secure 4th place finish at Korea International Circuit.
The Brazilian driver asserted that even though he could have fought with Mark Webber of Red Bull Racing for second podium as his car was very competitive. Nevertheless, he said that he is very pleased with the result which he has attained in the last race.
“I think today the pace was very good to finish in the podium and maybe even to fight with Webber,” he said. “I was happy to take the best from the car and to go out and I think that was very good for me.”
In addition, he admired the efforts of his team for developing such a competent car which could fight with the defending champions. Besides, he said that they managed to take the most out of their car in Korea and they are very much delighted with their
overall performance.
“The car showed great pace, for sure, Red Bull is really quick in race conditions as well but I'm happy,” he added. “We managed to put great pace into car from the beginning to the end, we managed to overtake cars and it was important for me to be alone
and use my car in the best moment possible.”
