Felipe Massa feels pleased after 2012 Monaco Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has said that he is feeling pleased with his performance in 2012 Monaco Grand Prix held at Circuit de Monaco on May 27.
Massa has been seen struggling with his pace in the season so far. However, he performed quite convincingly in the last race as he secured sixth place finish behind Lewis Hamilton of McLaren after starting from 7th grid position.
Even though, he said that he felt comfortable in F2012 during the weekend in Monte Carlo. However, he also notified that they need to keep on making the significant developments and the essential preparations in order to improve the pace of the car for the
approaching races. 
“It was a good race,” he said. “I felt comfortable with the car right from the start of Thursday's free practice. I had the right feeling and was much easier to drive than at previous races. Maybe it depends on nature of track or the set-up and we definitely
need to analyse everything carefully to see what we can learn from this weekend.”
Additionally, he said that he is very much happy with his performance in the sixth race as he was able to score some points for his team.
“All things considered, I could have brought home a better result, but I am happy nevertheless. It was a very difficult race and very close and I was able to match the pace of the leaders,” he added.
Nonetheless, he said that he is aiming to improve his performance in the forthcoming races. In addition, he admired his team for all their efforts.
The Brazilian driver could only score 2 points in the first five races. Nonetheless, he has improved his position in the drivers’ championship after the Monaco GP as he is currently standing on 14th place with 10 points.
Furthermore, he is 3 points ahead of Nico Hulkenberg of Force India and 5 points behind Bruno Senna of Williams.
Over and above, he said that the result of the last race has boosted up his confidence and he is positively looking forward to perform well in the upcoming race in Montreal.
