Felipe Massa feels unhappy with his medical treatment in Monaco – Formula 1 news
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has expressed dissatisfaction over the medical treatment he got in Monaco after his crash and insisted that the infrastructure must be improved.
Massa had two severe collisions at Circuit de Monaco, but fortunately he did not have any serious injuries and came out safe. However, he has asserted that the medical treatment which was provided to him after the crash was not good enough as compared to
the one he got in Canada. Therefore, he emphasised on making the necessary improvements in the medical infrastructure in Monaco.
“It's not nice to say it, but maybe I was a test driver for the doctors,” he said. “I had two crashes in Monaco and the organisation and situation there was really bad, whereas here [in Canada] it was perfect. I think it's a situation we have in Monaco and
a problem we need to improve for that.”
Besides, he said that he had to wait for some time for the ambulance after the accident and had to walk around 300 metres which is not good, so the conditions must be improved.
“I think we've spoken about everything that happened with the doctors already, but in Monaco everything that happened was not good - everything around the crash. The time I waited for the ambulance, on the first crash I had to walk 300 metres over the fence,”
he added.
The Brazilian driver is currently standing at 7th place in the drivers’ championship with 49 points. Additionally, he is ahead of Paul di Resta of Force India and behind his main rival, Nico Rosberg of Mercedes. He took a magnificent start to this season
and managed to secure 4th place finished in the Australian GP.
The 32-year-old has performed convincingly well in the season so far as compared to the preceding year in which he struggled a lot with his pace during the races. His best performance includes his third place finish in the Spanish GP which he secured after
taking a start from the 9th grid slot. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the upcoming races.
