Felipe Massa hopes for good result in 2012 Singapore GP – Formula 1 news
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has said that he is hoping to achieve good result in the 2012 Singapore Grand Prix after securing competitive points in the previous race at Autodromo di Monza.
Massa delivered a convincing performance in the Italian GP and secured 4th place finish behind his teammate, Fernando Alonso who is presently leading the drivers’ championship with 179 points.
The Brazilian driver struggled during the opening five races this year. Nevertheless, he has performed quite well in the last few races. Moreover, after attaining promising results in the preceding two races, he is targeting to carry on his good form in
the forthcoming race which is to be held at Marina Bay Street Circuit this weekend.
“Monaco was a very good race for us,” Massa said. “Hungary not so much, which is the high downforce tracks. For sure it's quite a different layout between Monaco and Hungary, but here is more in the direction of Monaco so I really expect to have a good direction,
a good car, and I hope we can have a good possibility to score a good amount of points on this track.”
In addition, he said that they need to keep on making the sound improvements in their car in order to keep up the level of consistency in the races ahead. He also said that they must make the right analysis about the conditions of the track of the next race
to take the full advantage of their updates.
"We need to carry on trying to do a good result, trying to do the best in car, trying to put everything together that's what I'm always trying to do,” he said.
It will be important to note that he has been surrounded by many rumours that the Scarlet team is finding his replacement for the next season. Nonetheless, the 31-year-old has said that he is not paying any attention to the prevailing speculations regarding
his future and is targeting to perform at his best in the remaining seven grands prix of the current season.
Above and beyond, let’s see how he shows up in the Singapore GP.
