Felipe Massa says he is hopeful Ferrari will have a good weekend in Belgium – Formula 1 news
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has said that he is hopeful his team can have a good and successful race weekend in Belgium, which will begin from Friday, August 26, 2011 at Spa-Francorchamps.
Massa also mentioned that although they do not have too much chances of winning the 2011 season’s title at the moment, but they must keep pushing until the end.
The team driver is hopeful they can manage another race victory in the Belgium Grand Prix this weekend with some new updates in their car.
The Brazilian driver stated that he believes some aero updates, which included new wings will support them to perform well at the Spa Circuit and they can score plenty of points for the team as well.
Massa commented, “Like most drivers, I love driving at Spa and I have some good memories of winning there in 2008, finishing second the year before that, while last year I was just off the podium in fourth spot. I will be aiming for a repeat of 2008!”
Apart from that, the Maranello-based outfit driver added that he is agreed with his team principal Stefano Domenicali, as he said that both of the drivers should try to score plenty of points in the remainder of the ongoing season despite their disappointing
start in the season.
He went on to mention, “So now we come to the final eight races of the season, which means there is still a lot of racing ahead of us and I agree with Domenicali that, as a team, we should simply try and win as many races as possible and score plenty of
points, without looking too closely at the championship situation.”
Massa said that he loves to drive at Spa, as he has good memories of winning there in 2008. Despite his disappointing start to the season, the 30-year-old driver is aiming to repeat his 2008 performance in the upcoming Grand Prix.
Let’s see whether Massa can repeat his 2008 winning results in the 2011 Belgium Grand Prix or not.
