The agent of Juventus midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Felipe-Melo-c13535, has insisted that his client is open to a move to English Premier League after the 2010/11 season.
Melo has attracted interest from Premier League side, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, and the agent has revealed that there are many chances of the player moving to North London. The 27-year-old has struggled at the Old Lady since his 22 million-pound move from Fiorentina in 2009.
Despite earning a national call-up on consistent basis, the midfielder has failed to live up to his price tag for the club, and the fans have criticized him for his below par performances in the current season.
Talking to the reporters, Melo’s agent said, “The situation is that we have been talking to Juventus but there is no official position on his future. He has been playing really well in the last couple of games and during the last few weeks of the season
we have been talking to the club and there are differing opinions on his level of performances. “
The Brazilian has made 53 appearances and scored four goals since joining the Turin based club two seasons back.
Napoli president denies Marek Hamsik sale in the summer
Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has ruled out a summer move for the attacking midfielder, Marek Hamsik, at the end of the 2010/11 season. Hamsik has been a consistent performer for the Azzurri since he joined the club from Brescia in 2007.
The Slovakian midfielder has been influential in guiding Napoli to the UEFA Champions League 2011/12. The 23-year-old has scored 11 goals and six assists this season and has attracted interest from some of the top clubs in Europe.
Hamisk has been subject to huge interest from Champions League semi-finalist, Manchester United, and the president is aware of it and will reject any offers for his prized asset.
