Felipe Silva wins the Men’s 50m breast-stroke title - Brazil Long Course Championships: Day four
Day four of the Brazil Long Course Championships got off to an astonishing start with the versatile performance of Felipe Silva in the Men’s 50m breast-stroke meet at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
He picked up the top seed in the 50m breast-stroke meet with an incredible time of 27.69 seconds, while Joao Luiz Gomes Jr. wound up second in 27.72 seconds. Angelito Cassandra finished third in a time of 28.73 seconds. Due to his incredible performance
in the Men’s 50m breast-stroke meet, Silva has improved to the fourth place in the world rankings.
In the Men’s 50m freestyle event, Bruno Fratus clinched the gold medal with a sterling time of 22.10 seconds. Fratus has also improved to the eighth spot in the world rankings with this swim. On the other hand, Nicholas Dos Santos grabbed the silver title
with a matchless time of 22.29 seconds and Alan Vitoria snared the bronze in a time of 22.89 seconds in the following meet.
Meanwhile, the Women’s 100m butterfly crown was captured by Dayanara De Paula with a winning time of 58.56 seconds. Incredibly, she has moved into the top 20 spots of the world rankings with this performance. Gabriella Silva took the second place with a
stunning time of 59.12 seconds, while Sara Oliveira wound up third in a time of 59.84 seconds.
In the Men’s 100m butterfly meet, Cesar Cielo was placed first with a fabulous time of 53.07 seconds. Fantastically, he has also moved into the top 25 places in the international rankings. Simao Morgado earned the second place with a time of 53.43 seconds
and Henrique Martins wound up third in a time of 53.50 seconds.
In the meantime, the Women’s 50m breast-stroke title was taken over by Ana Rodrigues with a winning time of 32.64 seconds and Ana Carvalho finished second in 32.92 seconds. Tatiane Sakemi captured the bronze in a time of 33.01 seconds.
In the Women’s 50m freestyle, Flavia Delaroli-Cazziolato snagged the gold medal with an intriguing time of 25.65 seconds. Graciele Hermann snared the second place in 25.81 seconds, while Tatiana Barbosa finished third in a time of 25.95 seconds.
Leonardo De Deus picked up the top seed in the Men's 200m back-stroke meet with a remarkable time of 1:59.72 minutes. Leonardo Alves Santos earned the second spot in 2:01.05 minutes, while Fabio Santi settled third in a time of 2:03.50 minutes.
Joanna Maranhao topped the Women's 200m back-stroke with a winning time of 2:16.96 minutes, whereas, Camila Zattar took home the Women's 800m freestyle in a time of 9:30.82 minutes. Meanwhile, Lucas Kanieski secured the Men’s 1500m freestyle crown with an outstanding
time of 15:22.47 minutes and Daniel Catelan was placed second in 16:37.25 minutes.
