Felix Magath has admitted that he would love to make amends with Atletico Madrid midfielder, Diego, after differences which led to the latter’s transfer to Spain. The manager warned Diego against any misconduct, and later forced
him to leave the club after deciding against his selection in the starting XI.
However, Magath has now expressed his desire to reconcile with his former player. He added that every individual makes mistakes but he should also have the courage to admit it. The tactician insisted that Diego was at mistake and
had he apologised at that very moment, the situation would have been different.
Magath reckons that the Brazilian has settled perfectly in Madrid, and could have a brighter future in Spain. He praised the player’s performances this season for the Spanish outfit and stated that he would love to have him in
his team in the future.
While talking to sports website, Bild, the 58-year-old tactician further stated:
"I would not consider myself resentful. I am of the opinion that every man must make some mistakes, but he then must take responsibility for it. Clearly Diego has developed in Madrid. I think that it is fair for him to get another
chance."

amends for his dispute during his Wolfsburg days.
"Anything is possible. I have no problem with Felix Magath, or an issue with the past. Mr. Magath's the boss, he decides. Wolfsburg are a good and professionally managed club," Diego concluded.
