Felix Magath: Wolfsburg players will only use German language in training grounds
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 manager Felix Magath has insisted on using German language in training grounds in order to improve the communication between the players. The tactician witnessed language problems recently and has eventually banned the use of foreign languages
from training grounds.
Magath’s men haven’t enjoyed proper communication since the start of 2011/12 campaign especially with a multi-linguistic squad.
The presence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Venezuela-c3039) makes it difficult for the players to interact with one another.
Magath has now strictly forbidden the use of foreign languages during training; whosoever found guilty will be handed out a fine.
Wolfsburg officials have agreed with the manager’s verdict and will closely monitor the situation in the coming weeks. They believed that proper communication amongst players could help improve the club’s performance.
This is not the first time that Magath has announced punishment for his players since taking charge earlier this year. He previously introduced a fine system, according to which, any player found guilty of a misplaced back pass was to bear a hefty fine.
The second punishment Magath came up with was related to lack of discipline on the pitch. He warned his players against unnecessary shooting inside the box, which would again lead to a fine.
While talking to Bild, the 58-year-old enthused, "For the sake of performance, it is always better if you understand your teammates. I do not think it appropriate if each of us now will have to learn English."
Kyrgiakos, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 defender, admitted to his difficulties with the current system. He stated that it would be difficult for him to speak in German and Magath should allow him to use English language, if not Greek.
The manager, on the other hand, declined his player’s request, strictly telling him to follow the rules. Magath, at the same time, urged his teammates to perform better in order to finish in the top four.
Wolfsburg are currently 11th on the league table with 13 points from 10 games and will return to league action on Saturday, October 29, against Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536.
